Code Monkey! That’s me.
I love coding – days and nights. When I’m not coding, you will often find me coding. Life used to be different and more fun when I was in my country – Nepal (Nepal where? Heard Mt. Everest?). Right now I’m attending Boise State University, Boise, ID and doing an internship at MetaGeek LLC as an Apprentice Hacker. Heard about WiSpy and inSSIDer?
Some of my work includes – pathibharafm.com, tweat.org, creative-eyes.net, hotjhapa.com None of which are online; not because they sucked but I moved on (that’s why I’m a monkey). I’m the ‘sort-of’ cofounder of titopiromitho.com and purbelitimes.com and also administer these sites. I used to write about Linux tutorials on my other site quicktweaks.com. It’s is not dead but I’ve not updated it for a while now. The site made to the frontpage of digg and was featured on Lifehacker. On the site you will find, among others, some cool ways of customizing your Linux desktop, a shell script for installing Oracle on Ubuntu, a shell script which tweets your apt activity, and the easiest way to install MS Office 2007 on your Ubuntu machine. I’m also the one who is working on making inSSIDer cross platform, and have successfully ran it on Linux, Mac, and Windows using Mono. I’ve also written an awesome Open Source NetFilterFramework which nobody uses. If yo want to be the first one, the source is on githu;) So, I love hacking. It’s fun!
I’ve done a lil bit of C, C++ (which, thankfully, I absolutely hate and have forgotten each and everything about it), Java, PHP, and C#. I love Object Oriented Programming, absolutely love Design Patterns, and have recently become a big fan of .net esp. C#. I’ve heard people making fun of Mono/ C# and high level OOP languages and that’s all I’ve seen them doing. Currently I’m learning Python (almost done with it), and next will be some Objective C or a functional language (heard a lot about it; just want to give it a shot). I own a Mac, an IPad, and an IPod but I’m not a big fan of Apple. I love Open Source and absolutely love Linux (esp. Ubuntu).
I don’t know what this site will have in future. I’ve no plan. May be some self-promoting programming rants; or may be a list of my forefathers and the scanned copy of their personal diaries; or may be nothing. I just thought having own domain name was cool and have this feeling that I will be becoming a Time’s Magazine Person of The Year pretty soon so wanted to secure my domain name
You got an idea.
In summary, this Code Monkey loves coding. What else? Oh ya, this: http://www.twowaymonkeybar.com/category/groovy/ !
